White symbolising truth and the rising peak symbolises triumph of truth, red symbolising enthusiasm, and the ankh from ancient Egyptian mythology to symbolise life. School motto: sincerity. Miss Mills was foundation House Mistress, Cecily Wilshire (Wenona’s first university graduate was also foundation Captain) and Cecily Pledger O.B.E (director of the British Council). School House won the top prize across the first year of competition.
